ISS was originally retained to provide food services at the client’s new headquarters building through its ISS Guckenheimer unit. Over an eight-year period, that partnership grew to also encompass a 1 million-square-foot, corporate headquarters campus and facility, workplace, and project management services at additional sites in the U.S.
The client wanted food services to play a pivotal role in the company’s workplace and help contribute to reaching sustainability goals. ISS Guckenheimer’s solution centered around people and culture, and featured nutritious, fresh, vegan, locally sourced, organic, sustainable, and allergen-free food; entertaining environments; and the agility to scale to accommodate client growth. Collaboration with employee resource groups celebrated identity and heritage events.
ISS Guckenheimer earned 100% participation from employees (when on-site), with most eating more than one meal per day. Waste produced declined significantly, leading to thousands of dollars in savings.
