ISS New Zealand secures contract with Venues Wellington for iconic event venues

ISS New Zealand is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Venues Wellington to provide comprehensive cleaning services across five of the capital’s most iconic landmarks. Beginning October 1, ISS will deliver services to the St James Theatre, The Opera House, Michael Fowler Centre, TSB Arena and Shed 6 – key venues that contribute to Wellington’s vibrant cultural and entertainment scene.

Through this partnership, ISS will deliver a full suite of cleaning services and customer-focused solutions delivered safely and sustainably. With a dedicated and skilled team, ISS will ensure a seamless and responsive service that enhances operational efficiency while ensuring exceptional visitor experience across these renowned venues.

A commitment to safety and sustainability
ISS’ partnership with Venues Wellington highlights a shared commitment to sustainability and safety. As part of the contract, ISS will implement tailored daily and event-specific cleaning services for each venue, leveraging global environmental initiatives like Net Zero Targets and carbon accounting in partnership with Watershed. In addition, ISS will introduce its chemical-free cleaning solutions through its PureSpace technology, helping to reduce the venues’ environmental impact.

The contract also includes a waste-reduction program and structured health, safety and environmental (HSE) training to ensure safe and sustainable operations, all supported by a strong governance framework. Aligned with global Net Zero targets, ISS New Zealand’s focus on sustainability will ensure these iconic Wellington venues maintain the highest standards of hygiene while minimising their ecological footprint.
