First Nations Engagement
ISS respectfully acknowledges the First Nations Peoples, Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land, waters and communities on which ISS business takes place. We honour their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples today.
Our purpose is to uphold First Nations Peoples’ cultures, identities and communities. Within this, we recognise our responsibility to help close the gap by supporting Indigenous businesses and individuals to overcome systemic challenges.
ISS is committed to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and to our important role in improving employment and enterprise opportunities for Australia's First Nations Peoples.
ISS Pacific's Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan 2024-2027 demonstrates our ongoing commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Since 2008, we have delivered a range of community, employment and procurement initiatives to improve Indigenous participation, supplier diversity and social benefits for the communities in which we operate.
Supporting sustainable procurement
ISS has a holistic approach to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander suppliers and improving economic and social outcomes. ISS is a corporate member of both Supply Nation and Kinaway Chamber of Commerce. We proactively work with Indigenous-owned and Supply Nation-certified businesses to procure services, equipment and produce, and we use local industry solutions whenever practical.
'Belonging'
This artwork by First Nations artist and descendant of the Gamilaroi Nation, Stephen Hogarth, supports the work of our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. It visually represents what we strive for as an organisation – to be a Company of Belonging.
