ISS is delighted to announce a three-year contract extension with Canberra Health Services (CHS), to continue delivering critical services from February 2025. This milestone extension strengthens our trusted 15-year partnership and demonstrates CHS’ confidence in ISS as a leading provider of non-clinical support services across Australia.

The extended agreement continues our service provision to Canberra Hospital and 25 satellite community health sites. The extended contract’s scope now includes the newly constructed $640 million Critical Services Building, a state-of-the-art facility including vital  areas such as operating theatres, a new emergency department and ICU.

“We are exceptionally proud to be a longstanding service partner to Canberra Health Services. This exciting next stage in the relationship is an opportunity to look at our services with fresh eyes, and set ever higher standards in service delivery, innovation and sustainability.” Liz Turner, ISS Segment Director, Healthcare

Innovation, sustainability and customer-centricity remain central objectives of this partnership. We are working to introduce robotic cleaning technology to enhance efficiency and service standards, while collaborating closely with CHS to advance sustainable practices in cleaning and waste management. This approach aligns with our commitment to delivering safe, efficient and environmentally responsible solutions that meet the evolving needs of CHS and the ACT community.

In August 2024, we successfully transitioned operations in the Critical Services Building, demonstrating ISS’ ability to smoothly mobilise services in complex healthcare environments. This achievement reflects our operational excellence and ability to ensure continuity in critical healthcare settings.

The renewed agreement represents a shared commitment to delivering low-risk, cost-effective, high-quality services and driving strategic advancements in healthcare facilities management. ISS is proud to continue supporting CHS in providing exceptional care to the ACT community and we look forward to building on this partnership with a focus on innovation and sustainability over the next three years.
