Celebrating our employees on #ISSCompanyDay
At ISS we celebrate our employees every day of the year but on the 31st October, it was brought to life with the ISS Company Day
Company Day is a great initiative undertaken every year with the aim to truly understand and appreciate the hard work that our employees provide every day when they deliver services to our customers. The day is an opportunity to share learnings and knowledge and also to meet colleagues from across the organisation working in different roles and receive hands-on experience of how we deliver services such as cleaning, catering, security, technical services and reception.
We have had a real positive response from Company day this year with great feedback from those taking part and also by the teams onsite who have hosted over 200 Senior Managers and office-based employees across the two days.
Aidan Bell, who has recently joined ISS as COO for Key Accounts 1 took part in his first Company Day, joining the ISS team on the TSB contract. He said “I’ve been involved in many ‘back to the floor’ days in my career however the ISS Company Day is a real improvement on my experiences in previous organisations. I joined the TSB team in Bristol, spending time with the team in reception, catering, engineering, security and cleaning. I saw how well our blended model of reception and security works. I did some work too which may have been a surprise to some people! The day was a great opportunity to talk with the teams about the highs and lows they experience on a day to day basis, it was great to see the interactions with our client’s teams first-hand and to see the ISS touchpoints in action. I took part in my first 10@10, had a great lunch of savoury turkey lovingly prepared by Chef Rory & his team – it was a great day. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
Company Day is always an engaging and beneficial experience for everyone involved, met with great enthusiasm by all participants. Thank you to everyone involved this week for making this Company Day another huge success – particularly to the 40 customer contracts who hosted visitors on their sites!
