We can all make a difference, no matter how small. There are lots of opportunities to get involved, from attending our virtual live events or watching them after, marching at Pride, and getting involved in different working groups.

PRIDE: Safe to be me

To mark Pride month, the Global Pride ERG hosted a live panel discussion to launch the concept of 'ISS - Safe to be me', which is all about creating workplaces where all ISS Placemakers can be their authentic selves

The conversation brought together colleagues from the LGBTQ+ community, allies, executive sponsors and senior leaders who talked about ensuring LGBTQI+ colleagues feel safe at work and the importance of allies in this. The group shared moving, vulnerable, personal stories of both difficult situations and where there has been positive progress.

ISS Pacific IDAHOBIT 2022 panel discussion

May 17 2022 was the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), a celebration of diversity and inclusion around the world.

To mark the day, ISS Pacific hosted a webinar panel discussion with Alyce Schotte from Pride in Diversity, Australia's first and only not for profit organisation working for LGBTQI+ inclusion in the workplace.

Global Pride Panel event                                   

During Pride 2021 ISS hosted the first ever global Pride event - a live panel discussion with ISS senior leaders including Jacob Aarup Andersen (COO ISS A/S) , Margot Slattery (Global Head of D&I), Corinna Refsgaard (Group People and Culture Officer) and Janek Blankensteiner (Global Head of Client Solutions and Bids). 

The panel respond to pre-recorded conversations from LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies from APAC, EMEA and North America who discussed the challenges in their regions, and the barriers yet to overcome.
