System requirements

Please note that there are some basic requirements that you need to comply - for the solution to work. The ISS Collaboration Extranet works with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher - it is strongly recommended to use the newest version of the Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Internet Explorer set-up
In order to make the ISS Collaboration Extranet work correctly, it is necessary to verify a few settings in Internet Explorer.

Go to the "Tools >> Internet Options" menu in Internet Explorer to verify the following settings:

  • On the "General" tab, in the "Temporary Internet Files" menu, press "Settings" and select the box "Check for newer versions of stored pages every visit to the page"
This ensures that the latest version of the page is loaded every time.

  • On the "Privacy" tab, choose the privacy setting allowing cookies to be stored temporarily on your computer.
This is necessary in order to ensure that the session starts and ends without jeopardising security. If you wish to uphold a higher privacy level you may specify the URL which may allow cookies, by clicking the "Edit" button in the "Web sites" section on the "Privacy" tab.

  • On the "Advanced" tab, go to the Microsoft / Java VM section and enable the Java JIT compiler.
This is necessary in order to secure the right functionality of the ISS Collaboration Extranet.
